A string of well-known chefs have graced the kitchens at L’Ortolan over the years, all the way from Nico Ladenis in the 1980’s through John Burton Race and on to Daniel Galmiche, Alan Murchison and then Tom Clarke. The latest chef to head up the famous kitchen is James Greatorex and he continues the quest for excellence that his predecessors all strived for. L’Ortolan is set in a beautiful building near Reading in Berkshire in lovely surroundings and you can expect classical renditions of game all done with modern twists.
