There is no more iconic restaurant than St John and no other chef like Fergus Henderson. The St John style has been endlessly copied and reworked in other kitchens but there is nothing like the original. Nose to tail eating suits game so well and over the years many exceptional game dishes have come and gone. What you’ll find on the menu when you visit is hard to tell but whatever it is it will be memorable and stamped with authenticity. Just to read about dishes such as Pheasant Pie is enough to get most guests into a taxi and off to Smithfield.
