The Welsh Game Guide to Launch at The Royal Welsh Show

The Chefs’ Forum presents… The Welsh Game Guide.

Following on from the success of The Great Game Guide we were asked to produce a bespoke guide to Welsh game and the result will be launched next week at The Royal Welsh Show, Builth Wells on 18-21 July.

Like the original Great Game Guide the Welsh edition features 50 of the top  venues in Wales where you can enjoy eating game plus recipes from leading chefs  as well as tips for home cooking and what wines to enjoy with game. The foreword is written by leading Welsh Chef Hywel Griffith from Beach House, Oxwich.

“I was delighted to be approached to write the foreword to The Welsh Game Guide,” he said. “I’m a huge game lover and we have some of the best game in the world in our valleys and on our hills.  I am really excited to be performing a cookery demonstration at the show next week and can’t wait to showcase the guide to all who attend the show.”

Edited by Chandos Elletson, who also edited The Great Game Guide, and beautifully-designed in-house by Lee Yarlett the new Welsh Game Guide will be available, free of charge.

Chefs’ Forum Director Catherine Farinha commented: “We were thrilled to be approached by Game Meat Wales to produce this extension to our Great Game Guide. The team pulled out all the stops to make it really unique and I must say it looks really good. It was also amazing to discover just how many brilliant restaurants, pubs and hotels there are in Wales with game on the menu. We’re really excited to be at The Royal Welsh Show and to launch this special new guide with Hywel and the Game Meat Wales team next Tuesday at 11am.”
